Margaret started in the AEC industry in the late 1970’s doing architectural drafting. Then her career became electric. At an electrical contracting firm she learned to design electrical systems for schools and how to design relay logic to control water treatment and sewage treatment plants. From there she went to Fluor and soared from Assistant Designer to Senior Designer in less than 3 years, an unprecedented feat. Margaret later switched to designing electrical systems for health care, research, hospitality, commercial and education facilities. Her unique industrial experience prepared her for the demanding requirements of health care facilities. Margaret joined E&C within two months of their inception and is now a majority stock holder. As a Principal at E&C her responsibilities include managing projects, preparing electrical documents, compiling electrical specifications and energy cost analysis and field inspections. Margaret is involved in the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the USGBC – Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Margaret loves spending time with her husband, three children and spoiling her four (soon to be five) grandchildren. She also enjoys jet skiing, traveling, reading and spending time with friends.
