E&C provided the mechanical and electrical design services and managed the plumbing design provided by a subcontractor for the 700,000 + square foot expansion to the existing GRBCC with a total construction budget in excess of $150 million dollars. Design for the expansion was being done in conjunction with GBPA. The expansion includes three exhibition halls, 12 meeting room pods with break out rooms for 60+ individual meeting rooms. The design incorporated modifications to the existing facility, including expanding the existing 6000 ton chiller plant and increasing the electrical service to provide an exhibition electrical capacity similar to the existing facility. All modifications and construction were facilitated while maintaining a fully functional exhibition facility.
