Texas A&M University Agriculture and Life Sciences Facility, College Station, TX
The Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston has named TAMU Agriculture and Life Sciences Facility as the Institutional Merit Award for projects under 25-100 million.

 

Department of Public Safety Crime Lab, Houston, TX
The Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston has named DPS Crime Lab-Houston as Project of the Year for projects under 25 million.

 


South Texas Research Facility, San Antonio, TX
This is moving day (Friday, October 14, 2011) for STRF. This is a new facility for The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this project a success!

 

Texas A&M University is celebrating the grand opeing of its new Agriculture and Life Sciences Facility. This project will also be honored in the December edition of ENR Texas & Louisiana and duing an awards ceremony on December 14, 2011, in Houston. This project received the Award of Merit in the Higher Education/Research Category from ENR Texas & Lousiana's Region's 2011 Best Projects. Congratulations to the Team who made the realization of this project come to life!

7x24 XChange's Texas South Chapter held a Golf Tournament benefiting USA Cares, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization which helps post-9/11 military families bear the burdens of service with finanacial and advocacy support. Heather, Larkin and Scott from E&C are posing in front of the hole E&C sponsored. Thanks to them and Margaret for participating.

Sugar Grove has achieved the LEED Certification Level.
H.I.S.D Sugar Grove Academy Middle School Houston, TX
E&C provided the M/E/P design for this new school being built for HISD.  E&C designed the mechanical system to provide a very energy efficient system, obtaining 5 LEED points for energy savings alone.  The design was cost effective and energy efficient.  E&C has specialized in energy saving designs, coupled with cost effectiveness.

E&C Travels to Grapevine, TX
All E&C of our employees and their families were invited to the 2011 E&C Company Trip held at the Gaylord Resort in Grapevine, Texas.  Everyone enjoyed the dinner Saturday evening.  Other activities the employees enjoyed on their leisure time were the new water park, the shops in downtown Grapevine, wine tasting tours and the incredible sports bar with its 52 foot screen.

City of Houston, Central Permitting Office Opens
The City of Houston’s Central Permitting Office has moved into its new building on 1002 Washington.  This building is targeted to receive LEED Gold.  Thanks to Margaret Stever and her team for all of the hard work on this building.

E&C Earns HBJ Best Places to Work 2011 Award
E&C received one of the Houston Business Journal’s 2011 Best Places to Work awards.  This is their sixth award for the category of 25 Employees or less.  The award was decided by employee surveys and was announced at a luncheon at the Hilton Americas-Houston Hotel on June 16th and in the Houston Business Journal June 17th Edition.

Heather Camden Becomes Certified Energy Manager
Congratulations to E&C Principal Heather Camden on earning her CEM Certification from the Association of Energy Engineers.

Sharon O’Fiel honored as Member of the Year
Congratulations to Sharon O’Fiel for receiving Member of the Year Award from SMPS Houston.  This award was given to Sharon after only having been a member for a little over a year.  Way to go Sharon, you always apply yourself 110%.
